Singer – soprano, as well as conductor and pedagogue; Doctor of Musical Arts in vocalism. Graduate of two specialties at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music – choral conducting and solo singing in the class of Prof. Ewa Iżykowska. Multiple winner of vocal competitions and artistic scholarships.
She has rich and diverse professional experience. She collaborates with orchestras of many Polish philharmonics and theaters: the Polish Royal Opera, Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, the Podlaskie Opera and Philharmonic, the Grand Theatre in Łódź, and the Polish Radio Orchestra. She performs at music festivals and has given concerts in Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Lithuania, and the Philippines.
The artist’s repertoire is rich and diverse. It includes numerous operatic and operetta roles, including: Poppea in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea, Almirena in Handel’s opera Rinaldo, Serpina in Pergolesi’s La serva padrona, Titania in Purcell’s The Fairy Queen and Dido in Dido and Aeneas, Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro, Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, Donna Anna in Mozart’s opera Don Giovanni; Hanna in Straszny dwór and the title role of Halka in Moniuszko’s opera, Mimi in La Bohème and Tosca by Puccini, Saffi in Strauss’s Der Zigeunerbaron, Friend of Birds in H. Czyż’s opera Kynolog w rozterce, Kara in Z. Krauze’s Noc kruków (leading female role, world premiere). These were productions directed by distinguished directors including J. Kilian, P. Aigner, P. Chomczyk, W. Raźniak, M. Sartova, and N. Babińska.
Małgorzata Trojanowska has also performed solo parts in canonical oratorio works, including: Bach’s Weihnachtsoratorium, Magnificat, numerous cantatas, both Passions, Handel’s Brockes Passion and Messiah, Vivaldi’s Gloria and Magnificat, Carissimi’s Jephte (Filia), Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Zelenka’s Gesù al Calvario, Mozart’s Requiem, Coronation Mass, Exultate jubilate and Great Mass in C minor, Saint-Saëns’ Christmas Oratorio, Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, Haydn’s Die Jahreszeiten, Nowowiejski’s Quo vadis, Fauré’s Requiem, Kilar’s Te Deum and Angelus, and Górecki’s Symphony of Sorrowful Songs and Copernican Symphony.
She has collaborated with distinguished conductors and leaders, including R. Silva, M. J. Błaszczyk, D. Runtz, K. Szwech, P. Fiugajski, V. Kiradjijev, B. Akiki, R. Kłoczko, J. M. Zarzycki, A. Klocek, M. Kluczyńska, N. Pavillionis, P. Deptuch, M. Wolińska, K. Garstka, M. Pastuszka, and G. Nowak.
The artist has also participated in world premieres of works by contemporary Polish composers. These include: Zygmunt Krauze’s Noc kruków, Ignacy Zalewski’s Requiem, Piotr Grinhol’s Msza ełcka, the song cycle for voice and piano Sielanki, and the oratorios Dziedzictwo czy Źródło nadziei by Tadeusz Trojanowski, Marcin Nagnajewicz’s Stabat Mater, and Grzegorz Bogdan’s Psalmy dla niezłomnych. She has frequently participated in recordings, including two solo albums: Głos duszy with sacred works (Rafał Sulima – organ) and Pieśni do słów Kazimierza Przerwy-Tetmajera (Robert Marat – piano).
As a pedagogue, she collaborates with the University of Białystok and the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music.
